Invisalign Teen
  1. What is Invisalign® Teen Clear Braces?

Invisalign Teen clear braces is a smart choice for young people wanting straighter teeth and a nicer smile — without the clunky appearance and other restrictions that come with use of metal braces. Invisalign® aligners are clear, removable and at Amazing Smiles are tailor-made for teens. Each set of aligners are replaced with a new set every two weeks and gradually,  teeth begin moving in desired place.

  1. How does Invisalign clear braces compare to traditional teenager braces?

An experienced orthodontist with Invisalign training will guide you on Invisalign® as an appropriate solution for teenager braces and how best to wear it.  Invisalign Teen can be as effective as traditional braces for the most common issues involving teeth straightening.  Invisalign® can effectively treat mild to severe issues, including overbites and underbites, teeth overcrowding and gaps between teeth. We can treat most teenagers requesting Invisalign Teen as it is a versatile solution.  If you are looking for an Invisalign® as a solution for your teenager braces, Please come see us for a FREE consultation and assessment.

  1. Does Invisalign teen have advantages over metal braces?

Answer is an emphatic Yes.  Invisalign® as a solution for teenager clear braces is far less obtrusive and noticeable.  It is also more comfortable and less irritating than metal wires and brackets.  And because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can play sports with freedom without worrying about getting hit in the mouth – which can cause real damage to braces.  There are no food restrictions with Invisalign since you can remove the aligners before eating (but you must immediately replace them when finished).  The removable aligners also make it easy to brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene.

  1.  Other Invisalign® benefits to consider?

Studies confirm that teens feel self-conscious about crooked teeth.  Metal braces as a solution can heighten their sensitivity about their appearance leasing to debilitating self esteem issues.  Because Invisalign Teen is hardly noticeable, anxiety and self consciousness is greatly reduced.

  1. Who is eligible for Invisalign® Teen?

Most teens are eligible for Invisalign clear braces. The trained orthodontists at Amazing Smiles (Dr. Ekstein and Dr Yusupov are Elite Invisalign Providers with years of experience) can determine if Invisalign® is a good fit for your teenager.

  1. What is the usual Invisalign® teen treatment time?

The average treatment time is about the same as with traditional braces,  the big variable is the severity of the condition. Please see us for a FREE consultation to make an assessment.

  1. Is Invisalign expensive?

Surprisingly, Invisalign Teen is comparable in cost to traditional braces.  When you come in for your Free consultation, we will provide a treatment quote, and advise parents on feasible and affordable monthly payment plans.  We will also help determine if the plan can be covered under your dental insurance policy.

  1. Do you have to wear Invisalign all the time?

It is highly encouraged to wear the aligners no less than 20- 22 hours per day and to change them every two weeks.  Our experience at Amazing Smiles and from clinical data suggests that most teenagers do comply.  And since Invisalign Teen has a built-in “assurance check,” we can actually track compliance levels and urge patients to get back on track should they fall behind.

  1. What happens if I lose one of my aligners?

No worries! Invisalign Teen comes with six FREE replacement aligners. If one gets lost, just let us know right away.

  1. Treatment time with Invisalign®

Actually, Invisalign® Teen often requires less time with your orthodontist than if you were to get traditional braces. That’s because there are no adjustments to make or broken wires to fix.  After the initial appointment, follow-up appointments are usually scheduled about every four to six weeks.
